Reflection

For this summative assessment, I examined the topic of medicine for the time period of the 1920s and compared it to today. My research question for this summative assessment was, "What medicines were invented in the 1920s and today? Give a detailed explanation." The research question was designed as a problem with a broader aspect, so I was able to include more information in these two sections when creating the website and answering the questions from the packet. In my opinion, I think the part of gathering relevant information for my story went pretty well so far. The reason for this is because as you can see from my packet, I had gathered many sources of information from all different sources that are reliable, which makes my packet and website’s information all reliable. However, while creating the website, gathering information, and answering the questions from the packet, I had many difficulties and problems. For instance, in the beginning, I decided to create a website instead of making a powerpoint or a video. The reason for this is because I want to try something new, instead of making the things that I had been creating for years in school. By this, the problem that I had at this point is that I have to investigate whether websites are able to produce the best product, which took me a long time to do. Second, the information for medicines back to the 1920s had a lot of information that was all in scientific wordings, in which many of them I don’t really understand. This took me a long time to research what each scientific wording means. As a result, there are many things that I would improve on next time. First, I might create more medicine information for the website, so it does not look empty. Second, I might need to control the time management for every section of the packet, so I won’t be writing all the information in a hurry which will lead to the result becoming unthoughtful.
